Two quotes, different terms
Say you're traveling for ten days with another person. You get two quotes, and one looks cheaper. Look at the certificate: do both cover the two of you for the whole period? Do they have the same limit for medical assistance? Is there a deductible, exclusions or optional benefits?
Think about the moment you'll use it
Check the language and the contact channel, whether the provider coordinates care or asks you to pay up front, the authorization procedure and the deadline for submitting receipts. If you're relying on credit card coverage, check the activation conditions and ask for the current certificate.
Keep the information handy
Save the policy, phone numbers and terms for offline access. Before paying, get written answers to any questions about health conditions, planned activities and luggage. Back to travel insurance options →
